HySA Infrastructure team at NWU recently reported on progress made in PAR safety technology. PAR stands for Passive Autocatalytic Recombiner (PAR). HySA Infrastructure at NWU leads development of safety technology for hydrogen applications in South Africa. It includes development of unique catalytic materials a CFD modeling. The CFD visualization of the flow motions inside the recombiner channel, as well as the hydrogen concentration decaying by means autocatalytic oxidation on the catalyst surface are demonstrated in the animation below.
