Separation of SO2/O2 using membrane technology

Hydrogen production through the Hybrid Sulphur process produces oxygen as a by product in mixture with sulphur dioxide. In this work, membranes are used to recover the oxygen produced whilst recycling sulphur dioxide. Membrane technology proves favourable due to simplicity, low energy demand and resultant cost savings.
