Project
Microwaves/Ultrasound continuous flow synthesis of metal-organic frameworks for hydrogen storage applications
Supervisor
Due to traditional batch synthesis of MOFs that takes long hours or days to yield good products, continuous flow synthesis of MOFs using Microwaves and ultrasound have attracted too much attention to be used in overcoming the scale-up production capacity. The aim of this project is to develop an efficient and effective synthesis technique, using Ultrasound and/or Microwaves energy irradiation on a continuous flow system for possible scale up production of MOF materials and particularly Zr-Fum MOFs for hydrogen storage.
